Depending on incarnations in different epochs(a very long period of time alias 'Yuga'), different weapons are
used by Lord Ganesha. The weapons are used symbolically.

Trishul, Pash, Ankush, Bhagna-Danta, Khadga, Khetak, Mudgar are different weapons used by Lord Ganesha.
 
 
 

Trishul

(A three point spear) The meaning behind it is to get a victory on evil things 
indicates that the leader should have the  power
and to destroy evil things. The Trishul 
power to control on sense organs and should 
have the ability to correct the followers. 
 

Pash

Ankush

to keep check on. A leader 
should have control on desire and emotions. 

Bhagnadanta

A half broken tooth.

Mudgar

A pair of wooden club like pieces useful for athletic exercises. This is one of the most
important weapon. A great sage was born called Mudgal, when Lord Ganesha threw the Mudgar on
the Earth. He wrote 'Mudgal Purana' on Lord Ganesha. 

Khetak

A weapon shown in Lord Ganesha's hand.
